Epazote ( Mexican Tea) - Scientific name: Chenopodium ambrosioides. Common names: American W ormseed, Epazote de Comer, Pazote.
The herb is an excellent remedy for stomach and intestinal ailments like indigestion, cramps, and ulcers. Also used as a spice in beans for flavor and to reduce stomach gas .
Brewing Directions: Add 1-2 teaspoons of epazote to a cup of boiling water and let simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep, covered for 3 minutes. Strain and serve.
