Rio Grande Herb Co., Inc. was originally founded in 1992 by Charlie Sanchez, Jr. and his wife Irene of Tome, New Mexico. The large Sanchez family was raised with the traditional Hispanic culture and values. Herbal remedies were past down from generation to generation for centuries in the Sanchez family. Charlie Sanchez, Jr. used this knowledge of traditional herbal remedies that were past down by his parents Charlie and Trini Sanchez, to share with the world.

He then founded Rio Grande Herb Co., Inc. The company was eventually sold to Brother, Phil Sanchez in 1993. Phil Sanchez was a very determined and hard working business man. His ambition and hard work has helped Rio Grande Herb Co. to be the leading herb company in the southwest.

Today, Rio Grande herb Co., Inc. is still a family orientated business and is now owned by Phil Sanchez, Jr. and Gerald Lovato. Our philosophy for our company as in life is based on the traditional values of kindness and truth. We are very ambitious, hard working, and put all of our heart and soul into this company. We believe in providing the highest Quality and Service for our Customers. “If we don’t take care of the customer…somebody else will.”

Rio Grande Herb Co., Inc. is a wholesale herb company. We are best known for specializing in southwestern herbs. Various herbs that we carry are freshly wildcrafted from the deserts and mountains of New Mexico. Many of our herbs are very rare and unique, found only in the Southwest United States. We do also manufacture many special southwestern herbal products such as hair care products, liniments, and cough syrup.  All of our products contain only the highest quality of herbal extracts.

Like a seed to be sown, or fresh beautiful lavender flowers in the spring, our company plans to flourish. Our goal for Rio Grande Herb Co., Inc. is to aid the global herbal community, by contributing the supply of mother natures healing gifts.
